Have you seen the latest Instagram scam update? Instagram has been doing its best to crack down on scam accounts. There may now be a warning when you are attempting to access a link. This update will provide a message that states potential scam warning letting users aware of the risks of accessing a particular link.
This can be harmful for business owners trying to promote their products or services on Instagram. When users try to access links to your company’s account in the bio, a potential spam message may cause users to avoid navigating to your page.
Social media platforms have been a great way to advertise for your company, Instagram now even lets you attach multiple links to your bio. Although, now marking links as potential spam will not be beneficial as users won't want to risk opening up a link with a warning message.
To fix this problem, I suggest using a call to action in the captions of your Instagram posts. Including phrases such as “click the link in my bio” or “read more here” can help users feel more comfortable accessing links attached to your Instagram profile.
It is important to be active on your social media platforms. Posting frequently and engaging with your followers will help to build their trust. When users are more familiar with you account they will not be as worried about a scam message.
Now, as Instagram continues to evolve, your profile must also. So, if you’re ready to take your marketing strategy to the next level, let’s have a discussion by scheduling a free discovery call. In the meantime, please feel free to connect with me on Facebook and Clubhouse.
